Check Your Closet for these Foot Foes

Continued from our Retreat & Renew Daily Tip.

Sprained ankles, plantar fasciitis, bunions. All in the name of fashion, right? For most of us, not so much. We’d prefer to perhaps be a step behind in style in order to keep our best foot forward so to speak. Curious if your shoes make the grade? According to Web MD these are the worst shoes for your feet:

Bump Pump
Pumps that sport a bump in the back can cause a painful knot to form on the back of the heel, creating a permanent deformity that can be painful.

Ultra High Heels
These shoes force your feet into a position that puts too much weight on the ball of the foot, which can lead to hairline fractures.

Stilettos
Do you really want to put all of your weight on the ball of your foot and a tiny stiletto heel?

Ballet flats
Sorry, those of you that thought you were in the clear because you avoid heels. Ballet flats have no arch support and can cause plantar fasciitis. Flip flops unfortunately fall into this category, too.

Pointy toes
These shoes can cause bunions, blisters, and hammertoes.
