Looking for a healthier disposition? Longer life?

The healthiest things you can do in 10 minutes (or less!).

Add 10 minutes to your cardio routine, or just do 10 minutes of exercise. If you get your heart-pumping for 10 minutes, the average woman will burn an additional 100 calories. Add that up over the year, and you’re looking at a weight-loss of ten pounds! Good choices? A brisk walk. Pushups alternated with lunges. Jumping rope. Skipping! SEX!

Throw in the greens. In the time it takes you to read this entire tip, you could have thrown a handful of fruit, some leafy greens like kale and some juice into a Vitamix and had yourself an antioxidant rich cocktail. In ten minutes you could sauté some of those leafy greens in a little olive oil and vegetable broth, until tender and toss with your lunch.

Get outside. Even if you can’t make your boss see eye-to-eye with you, you can change your perspective. Research shows that getting outside for as little as ten minutes a day can boost your mood and ward off depression. Plus, it helps you get your dose of vitamin D.

Do a crossword! According to Naturalnews.com, intellectually stimulating activity is known to have the potential to stave off Alzheimer's and other brain diseases, and crossword puzzles in particular are well-suited to this purpose, as they involve a daily burst of sustained mental activity. Studies have found that older people who regularly flex their brains almost halved the risk of developing Alzheimer's. So grab that Sunday Times and hop on the hammock for a 10-minute swing!
