Sprouting Soaps!
Pangea Organics, an all-natural skincare line known for their fabulous soaps, lotions, and massage oils, has taken their concept of organics one step further by wrapping products in 100 percent compostable and biodegradable packaging made from 100 percent post-consumer newsprint, without the use of glues and dyes.
Yet, Pangea Organics CEO and Founder Joshua Onysko, views the concept of 'zero waste' as something to be strived for but never achieved, like alchemy. "A true alchemist knows that perfection is un-obtainable. The advice I give to designers is to design as if they had to keep all of their garbage in their loft for fifty years."
With that in mind, Onysko took his packaging to another level: now it is actually plantable! The boxes are seeded, containing flowering Amaranth and edible Genovese Sweet Basil seeds.
