The Fountain of Youth in a Nut-shell

Continued from our Retreat & Renew Daily Tip.

As we continue to reach deeper and deeper into new trends for obtaining our youth with more complicated techniques, let me bring you back to the basics:

Remember to Breathe – Remember to breathe deeply and slowly, feeling your muscles, joints and any associated aches or pains you may have.

Drop your shoulders – A proactive approach to tension, of which can lead to additional aches and pains. While you are sitting and reading this article, take notice of how elevated your shoulders and upper back are raised and try to be more conscious and “relax” these overworked muscles.

Posture – Sit straight in your desk, in your car and while walking – When you take notice of your posture, you can change the entire dynamic of your body to keep you strong, stable and upwardly mobile for years to come.

Stretching – The real fountain of youth! Stretching can really keep us pain-free and active well into our later years. If you have time for any of these suggestions, I highly recommend stretching.
