If you’ve got a big presentation or speaking engagement, you could use a boost to your little old ego. Give yourself a boost of confidence with these simple yoga poses.

Triangle

Step your feet about a legs-distance apart. Plant your left foot parallel to the back of your mat and right foot perpendicular. Keep both legs strong. On an inhale, extend your arms straight out from your shoulders. On an exhale, reach and extend through your right side, as if someone was pulling you horizontally. When you’ve reached as far as you can, gently place your right hand somewhere along your leg (just not on the joint). Raise your left arm up toward the sky. Keep your left shoulder back on your back. Inhale to rise and switch sides.

Modified Upward Facing Dog

Place a chair against the wall. Place your hands on the edge of the chair. Keep your wrist parallel with the back of your chair. Lift your sit bones high as you make your way into a modified downward dog. Legs are straight and actively reaching toward the floor (in an L shape). Gently shift your weight forward as you lift your chest and move your hips forward. Keep your neck relaxed. Keep drawing your belly back in toward your spine. Breathe here for five to eight breath cycles. Switch back to the chair downward dog and repeat.
