Energy Boosters (and Zappers)

Busy. That’s how many of us would describe our lives.
And while there is an entire social issue revolving around “busy” and why the busyness is taking over our lives, there are things we can do to try and have more energy—around the clock—as well as things to perhaps forgo when energy isn’t exactly your friend.
First things first:
1.) Eat complex. Say sayonara to simple carbohydrates, especially when you need peak mental functioning. Instead be sure to eat complex carbohydrates with protein added. Even adding a tablespoon of peanut butter to half a bagel will last you longer than the bagel alone.
2.) Aim to exercise 20 minutes more today.
3.) Take something off your plate. Do you have something on your to-do list that you hate, isn’t terribly vital, yet is completely draining? Take it off!
